Vanessa Aplon-Letson

Vanessa Aplon-Letson is a home-grown product of OBO. Rising through the ranks, Vanessa started as a Certification Business Development Coordinator in 2007. Since then, she has helped maintain the mission of the department in positions of Senior Certification Business Development Coordinator, Certification and Designations Supervisor and is now serving as the current Division Manager of the Certification and Designations Division. Prior to joining OBO, Vanessa worked in Low Income Housing-Tax Credit where she served families with housing and development needs.

Vanessa earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Prairie View A&M University and completed her Master of Public Administration from Texas Southern University.  She is also a 2019 graduate of the City of Houston’s Leadership Institute Program.
