Turnaround Houston! LogoJanuary 28, 2025 -- The Office of Business Opportunity (OBO) is thrilled to announce the first Turnaround Houston Job Fair of 2025, set to occur in Houston City Council District I on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Join us at the Magnolia Multi-Service Center at 7037 Capitol St. from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This is an incredible opportunity for job seekers across the Greater Houston area!

Partnering with Workforce Solutions, OBO organizes this job fair multiple times yearly to bridge the gap between talented job seekers and employers from diverse industries. Attendees will have the unique chance to engage directly with employers, explore exciting job openings, and even apply for positions on-site. Plus, we're thrilled to offer complimentary resume assistance and free haircuts provided by the talented folks at Franklin Barber and Beauty Institute -- perfect for making a lasting impression!

"We are wholeheartedly dedicated to driving economic growth and creating meaningful opportunities for the residents of Houston," shared Cylenthia Hoyrd, Director of the Office of Business Opportunity. "The Winter Turnaround Houston Job Fair is an invaluable platform for job seekers to connect with potential employers and take that pivotal next step in their careers."

Launched in March 2016, the Turnaround Houston Job Fair addressed individuals' employment challenges, including the unemployed, underemployed, and formerly incarcerated. Since then, we have proudly assisted over 7,000 individuals in their employment journeys, making this event a cornerstone for fostering economic growth and providing access to new possibilities for Houston residents. Houston City Council Member Joaquin Martinez, who represents District I, emphasizes the importance of Houstonians improving their quality of life.

"I look forward to partnering with the Office of Business Opportunity (OBO) to host this year's Turnaround Houston Job Fair in District I. A strong workforce is essential for our communities to thrive," said Joaquin Martinez, District I Councilmember. "I want to thank OBO for its commitment to ensuring employment opportunities remain accessible to all."

This event is free to attend, and we encourage everyone to pre-register. To ensure accessibility for all, City of Houston staff and volunteers will provide language translation services on-site. Please note that parking is limited, so arriving early is recommended. Additional overflow parking will be available across from the Magnolia Multi-Service Center at the Capitol Flea Market at 7046 Capitol St.
